Before you begin:

Steps to add the accessibility widget on Webflow

Step 1: Check your Webflow plan

Sitewide Custom Code in Webflow needs a paid Site plan. If your site is on the free Starter plan, skip to the alternative method at the end of this guide.

Step 2: Open Site Settings

From your Webflow dashboard, open your project, then go to Site Settings > Custom Code.

Step 3: Paste your script

Paste the script you copied from AccessiYes into the Head Code field. This loads the widget globally across every page as the site renders.

Step 4: Save

Click Save Changes.

Custom Code changes don’t go live until you publish. Click Publish in the top right corner and select the domains you want to update.

Save and publish

Step 5: Verify

Open your published site (not the Designer preview). You should see the accessibility icon in the position you chose when generating your script.

If you’re on the free Starter plan: add the script using an Embed element from the Add panel instead, pasting the same script into it on each page where you want the widget to appear, then publish. Upgrading to a paid Site plan lets you use the sitewide method above instead.

A widget on its own does not make a site fully legally compliant. It gives visitors real, working adjustments and is one part of a broader accessibility effort alongside a WCAG-focused review of your site’s design and content.
